Akh's Final Mock

1. Miami Dolphins: Jake Long OT Michigan. Done deal.

2. St. Louis Rams: Glenn Dorsey DT LSU. The best player in the draft imo, this is a no brainer for the Rams.

3. Atlanta Falcons: Matt Ryan QB BC. Why is everyone down on him?

4. Oakland Raiders: Vernon Gholston DE/OLB Ohio State. Davis really REALLY wants McFadden, but Ryan talks him into a defender.

5. Kansas City Chiefs: Chris Long DE UVA. They replace Allen with a guy who won’t be a trouble maker.

6. New York Jets: Devin Thomas WR Michigan State. His meteoritic rise drops jaws.

7. New England Patriots (f/SF): Branden Albert OL UVA. This allows them to move Light inside.

8. Baltimore Ravens: Leodis McKelvin CB Troy. Rolle and McAllister are getting up there in years, don’t be surprised to see them jump back into the first for Brohm, Henne, Flacco, etc.

9. Cincinnati Bengals: Sedrick Ellis DT USC. Makes too much sense to actually happen. If they deal Johnson, expect a WR here.

10. New Orleans Saints: Keith Rivers OLB USC. Without a quality DT available here, the Saints take the best available defender. Great pick here.

11. Buffalo Bills: Limas Sweed WR Texas. Playmakers to keep Evans happy is the goal for the Bills.

12. Denver Broncos: Darren McFadden Rb Arkansas. Its not the character concerns that will drop him, its that he just can’t take a hit.

13. Carolina Panthers: Ryan Clady OT Boise State. Some concerns about his strength drops him slightly.

14. Chicago Bears: Rashard Mendenhall RB Illinois. Cedric Benson just is a bust, don’t be shocked if they deal up for McFadden if he starts falling.

15. Detroit Lions: Derrick Harvey DE Florida. Doesn’t make sense, so it must be Millen.

16. Arizona Cardinals: Mike Jenkins CB South Florida. Another riser in the draft, he’s perfect for the zone based systems in the NFL.

17. Kansas City Chiefs (f/Minny): Dominique Rogers-Cromartie CB Tenn State. Law is gone, Surtain should be.

18. Houston Texans: Chris Williams OT Vandy. Matt Schaub took this card up to the podium personally.

19. Philadelphia Eagles: James Hardy WR Indiana. A bit of a reach, but they need a Flanker in the worst way.

20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jonathan Stewart Rb Oregon. The Cadillac’s axle is broken.

21. Washington Redskins: Kenny Phillips S Miami. I highly doubt the Redskins will be picking here at the end of the day, if you have a big Vet Wr and want a late 1st, please contact Vinny Cerrato at vcerrato@drosenhaus.com

22. Dallas Cowboys (f/CLE): Reggie Smith S/CB Oklahoma. The boys have to replace Roy sometime soon, he’s just too much of a liability.

23. Pittsburgh Steelers: Sam Baker OT USC. Versatile OT who will help the Steelers badly.

24. Tennessee Titans: Philip Merling DE Cletius Tech. They got devastated in FA, DE is as good a place as any to restock.

25. Seattle Seahawks: Jeff Otah OT Pittsburgh. Locklear is a liability, and Mora Jr will need a solid OL to build around.

26. Jacksonville Jaguars: Jerod Mayo LB Tennessee. Peterson looks spent, and they need something if they want to run a 3-4 hybrid like they’re saying.

27. San Diego Chargers: Felix Jones Rb Arkansas. They’ll miss Turner, but without Neal, they need to spell LDT more.

28. Dallas Cowboys: Malcolm Kelly WR Oklahoma. Does anyone think that the Boys will give TO a 3 year extension?

29. San Francisco 49'ers (f/IND): Quentin Groves DE Auburn. Lawson looks like a waste of a pick.

30. Green Bay Packers: Antoine Cason Cb Arizona. Woodson and Harris are getting old.

31. New York Giants: Gosder Cherlius OT BC. Kareem McKenzie is getting old, Coughlin knows BC and likes BC linemen.
