Akh Mock 4: Who they should draft

Remember: Its who they should draft...

Akh’s “Who they should draft” Mock

1. Miami Dolphins: Matt Ryan Qb BC—Sure they could use either Long, but they need a QB in the worst way.

2. St. Louis Rams: Glenn Dorsey DT LSU—They could use either Long also, but Dorsey makes them better in so many different ways that he’s the non brainer here.

3. Atlanta Falcons: Jake Long OT Michigan—Quick, name their left tackle.

4. Oakland Raiders: Ryan Clady OT Boise State—And you know they won’t do it.

5. Kansas City Chiefs: Leodis McKelvin CB Troy—They have a ton of issues, but CB is right at the top of the list.

6. New York Jets: Chris Long DE UVA—Jenkins and Pace are a decent start for them, and they could go McFadden here, but Long is a Richard Seymour type for them to build around.

7. New England Patriots (f/SF): Darren McFadden RB Arkansas—Belichick loves to pull surprises on draft day, McFadden on the Pats sends a chill through the league’s collective spine.

8. Baltimore Ravens: Brian Brohm QB Louisville—McNair and Boller(and Troy Smith)?

9. Cincinnati Bengals: Vernon Gholston OLB/DE OSU—He’s perfect for the 3-4 they want to run.

10. New Orleans Saints: Sedrick Ellis DT USC—The Saints are delighted to see him drop here, and they need a DT badly.

11. Buffalo Bills: Dominique Rogers-Cromartie CB Tenn State—they’ve built a good front 7 to their defense, but the Cbs are just awful.

12. Denver Broncos: Keith Rivers OLB USC—They won’t take him, even if he’s here, but they need a LB playmaker badly.

13. Carolina Panthers: Kentwan Balmer DT UNC. A bit of a reach, but that defense is predicated on the Dline performing, losing Jenkins hurts the entire DLine.

14. Chicago Bears: Joe Flacco QB Delaware—Yes, they could use Kelly or Albert(or Chris Williams), but Rexy ain’t the answer for them at QB.

15. Detroit Lions: Chris Williams OT Vandy—George Foster and Jeff Backus don’t have much business playing in the NFL.

16. Arizona Cardinals: Rashard Mendenhall RB Illinois—Edge James is slowing down quickly, they need a pass catching Rb to help the offense hum.

17. Minnesota Vikings: Kenny Phillips S The U—You can’t run a cover-2 without safeties. Sharper is good, but falling apart.

18. Houston Texans: Limus Sweed WR Texas—They need help in a lot of places, but a real WR to team with Johnson would be a big move for them.

19. Philadelphia Eagles: Malcom Kelly WR Oklahoma—Whether or not McNugget stays as the starter, they need a WR badly.

20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: James Hardy WR Indiana—Big, good speed, bit of a headcase..perfect for Gruden.

21. Washington Redskins: Derrick Harvey DE Florida—they don’t believe in DEs though.

22. Dallas Cowboys (f/CLE): Felix Jones Rb Arkansas—Barber is probably best as a backup/rotation back.

23. Pittsburgh Steelers: Sam Baker OT USC—Might be seen as a bit of a reach, but he’s perfect for what they need, and they can teach him to be nastier.

24. Tennessee Titans: Early Doucet WR LSU—Why is this guy so underrated again?

25. Seattle Seahawks: Devin Thomas WR MSU—they’ll probably end up taking DeShaun Jackson, but Thomas is the better pick.

26. Jacksonville Jaguars: Philip Merling DE Clemson—However with Gregg Williams as their DC, it probably will be a Db of some sort.

27. San Diego Chargers: Pat Sims DT Auburn—Jamal Williams is the key to their entire defense, and he’s starting to slow down. With no obviously glaring holes, they get the NT of the future.

28. Dallas Cowboys: Mike Jenkins CB South Florida—Newman is up for FA, Henry is slowing down.

29. San Francisco 49'ers (f/IND): DeShaun Jackson WR Cali—Quality pick here, I have questions about Jackson as a prospect, but his skills should be somewhat productive in Martz’ system.

30. Green Bay Packers: Aqib Talib CB Kansas—they have other needs, but drafting a NB who will replace Harris or Woodson is a major positive move.

32. New York Giants: Dan Conner LB PSU—they’ll probably move up to draft a replacement for Plax, but Conner makes more sense since it allows them to keep Kiwi at DE.

Joe Flacco #14 to the Bears? Your the first person in the Hundred or so Mock drafts that I see and read that has put Flacco not only in the first round; but in the First Half of the First Round!!! A Reach??? WOW, an understatement:) LOL!!

Like I said at the top of the draft, its a mock of who people should take. Could the bears use a WR--absolutely. Could they use some Young Oline help-absolutely. Could they use a DT to team with Harris or a something else on the defense-Absolutely. However, the Bears won't improve as a team until they get something new at QB. Grossman simply isn't the answer. It might be a reach at the end of the day(I think he'll be a first rounder come draft day), but he's perfect for them.
